The church newsletter
Children moving to the beat at a spring lock in.
Children have a special place in
God's heart and in the heart of
Harvard Avenue Christian Church.
Just as Jesus wants all children
close to Him so that they can have
the opportunity to feel His love
shining brightly, we want to create
a bright place where the love of
Jesus is felt by every heart.

We feel that church should be a happy place where children want to come because they
learn new exciting things about God each week through fun songs, stories, crafts and
games. Out children's teachers are also committed to providing a warm and loving
environment where children of all ages feel safe and accepted. The programs in our
Children's Ministry are tailored for the developmental needs of each age group so that
every interaction will be a positive and helpful experience. Some of our programs include:
"Let the little children come to me, and do not
hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven
belongs to such as these," Matthew 10: 14

A great time for HACC parents to have an evening out and a really great time for the kids
to be here at the church.
Parents Night Out will incorporate ALL STARS FOR JESUS this

crafts, games and other great learning activities. Parents Night Out is from

A week-long adventure sets off each summer as a Bible theme is explored. Children 2
years through 5th grade are encouraged to participate in this Bible theme experience.
This year VBS will be held July 26-30, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Children's Choir
We have wonderful Children's Choirs offered for Kindergarten students through 5th
grades. Our choirs sing regularly during the church services. (The children's choirs meet
before special performances as scheduling permits, with Director of Music, Susie
Daugherty and Music Intern Libby Sublett.) Also, this year a Middle School Boys' Drum
Circle is being added under the director of Libby Sublett.

Mission Days
During the school year on days off for holidays, teachers meetings, etc., elementary aged
children participate in a variety of community service projects designed to teach the
children the importance of reaching out to those less fortunate. Some of the projects have
included serving Meals on Wheels, working at Emergency Infant Services, and writing
notes to elderly shut-ins.
